Going vegetarian 3 and half months ago was the best thing i ever did...i love it when people ask if i want something and can tell them i cant eat that because im vegetarian....it kind of makes me feel above people sometimes because im actually acting on what i think is morally wrong (killing the animals) and at the same time its a great excuse to not be able to eat out.

Anyways hello fellow vege's lol Very Happy

I LOVE being a vegetarian!! I've been one for years and it is sometimes the best excuse not to eat *wub*

I'm thinking of going vegan every other day or something eccentric in an effort to lose weight...Would anyone like to join me? ^_^

Hi, I don't know if my diet is eccentric but I'm on an all-raw vegetarian diet. I've lost most of the weight on my ticker on it. If you're good about and stick with it, it's pretty much impossible to avoid loosing a lot of weight. I hang out on the raw vegetarian/vegan sites and it's a huge help!

Not you, Alice, but before anyone else corrects me(again) Smile , a pure vegetarian diet is the SAME as a vegans. The only difference is in morals. A true vegan won't benefit from animals, they won't wear wool, for example, or use cosmetics derived from animal experimentation. I'm getting tired of being corrected by kids becuase they think saying "I'm a vegan" is a status symbol. I'm old and ancient and I'm right, haha Razz

Anyhow, if anyone wants to post on this, it'd be great! OOXX

Woah, your willpower is good, well done! Do you feel healthier from it, out of interest? ^_^

Oooh, interesting, thank you Smile I guess there are different degrees of vegetarianism - I would consider myself a vegetarian because I wouldn't dream of eating meat, though for medical reasons my doctor has advised me to eat fish at times. But I guess I'm not a pure vegetarian in that I eat cheese (without rennet!!) and eggs and I own several pairs of leather shoes. I'd feel bad about this if I ate meat, I think - people say it's hypocritical to buy leather jazz dance shoes and refuse to eat meat, but reasonably I only buy a pair of shoes every year or so and people who eat meat must hurt far more animals through their diets...

What does everyone else think? Smile
