We have taken the decision to automatically remove all email addresses posted in all forums hosted by RingsWorld.
We understand this might cause some frustration, and we truly apologize for this; however, we believe it needs to be done.
You may not see the risk of posting your email addresses, so we would like to attract your attention to the following facts :
-> when you post your email, it means everybody can see it and contact you. This includes persons with bad intentions. You can read everyday about people being abused and trapped on the Internet by perverts, pedophiles, con artists, and those with non-nefarious, but self-serving agendas, who try to abuse the naivety of others. So we can never repeat enough that you need to be vigilant on the Internet and always be careful with whom you speak.
Also, never communicate your personal address, phone number or other private information.
-> there are robots/automates which are constantly browsing the Internet in order to collect the maximum number of emails. These emails will then be used to send spam messages and your email box can quickly become over-filled with spam and other objectionable messages.
Being aware of all this, if you really want to communicate your email to another member, we recommend that you use the "Personal Message" [PM] system embedded with the RingWorld Forum system for your convenience. This system allows you to exchange messages with other registered users while keeping your email address private. However, it must be said that if you do feel the need to share your email address or Instant Messaging information using the PM system with another person, please think twice before doing it.
Lastly, do not hesitate to contact us to report abuses from other members. Remember that on the Internet you never really know to whom you are speaking, and a lot of people are abusive of this anonymity to make you fall into their trap. So please be careful.
