I would love that one day Search engines could find a way to identify "better" informational and commercial pages. Of-course it's easier to say than to realise it ... but it could definitely be great.

I often search for information about movies and most of times the results are from online DVD stores, or affiliates pages redirecting to these affiliate stores.

I am also bothered to have to go several pages into the search engine results to find "information" content. But I do not expect SE to be able to filter this ... I mean, there is too much economical motivations and people will always find a way to bepass the filter.

I know exactly what you mean! In the late 1990s if you did a search on say, an actor or director's name, you would get info about THEM. Plus any search only gave you enough pages so that you could go through them all. I mean, like 20 pages was a LOT. Now you get pages of every single DVD store that's online and they even repeat themselves! Mad I find it very upsetting sometimes Crying or Very sad Maybe I'm just a lousy searcher Rolling Eyes
