Assassin's Creed

I am sorry if this is silly question, but when will Assassin's Creed be release ?

And I've read it was supposed to be released only on PlayStation 3 but I saw an other article saying it will also come out for the Xbox 360 is that true?

From what I understood Assassin's Creed was an exclusivity for the Sony Playstation 3 but the price and perspectives of (un)success of the PS3 made Ubi Soft renegociated this exclusivity. And recently Ubi Soft recognized that an Xbox 360 is also developped. So this is possible this game get released first on the PS3 and then later on the Xbox 360 too (and in that case certainly on PC as well). But I may be wrong.
