my boyfriend offered me a bottle of Chanel No 5 for my birthday (yesterday), I am in love ... oh yes I love him too , but I love this fragrance better !

Lol, I smelt that once and couldn't work out why so many people love it - to me it smells like baby wipes O_o Maybe I just have a weird sense of smell of something

hahaha Yeah, it depends on what version of the scent you get. There's the perfume(parfum) which is very strong and more precious oils, then you go down the line to stuff like eau de parfum and eau de toilette and they have lots more alcohol, depending on which. I love the pure perfume it's gorgeous but its almost $100 dollars for a quarter of an ounce or something. Very pricey, most likely you've smelled one of the other number 5 versions with the alcohol and yes I agree, yuck. To me they smell like bubble bath and old ladies. I wish I had the $$$$ for the perfum, oh excuse me "PARFUM" I mustn't be un-fussy. Yours truly, PepperJack.

I like that too, but my mum wears it so I never really wanted to - Chanel coco madamoiselle and chanel chance are gorge - they made them both up to appeal to a younger market.

Some perfumes will work with your body chemistry, others won't. At least C5 doesn't make me smell like a bowl of overripe fruit.
