Well, I'm doing badly already.
B-Hot choc 40cals
L-soup 85 cals squash 15cals
D- hopefully 3 corn crackers with marmite 48 cals
So 188 cals is my hopeful total today.
I'm a coe as well as Ana, so I can only be thankful I haven't binged.
I am seriously a reverse trigger for you all.
I can't be accurate with pounds because I have to work it out on a calculator (my scales do stones).
Basically:
H: 5ft 3in
W:13st 10lbs or (according to my calculator) 195.6 lbs
BMI: 34.6
HW:195.6lbs
LW:179lbs
UGW:120lbs.
Please help me. I'm at my biggest ever and I feel disgusting.

hi,
good for you sofar!
Hope you can keep the total on 188 cals through the day!

I figured out that 1 stone is 14 lbs US, maybe that helps?

Good luck!

This is weird, when I multiply 13 by 14 and add 10, it's 192, but when I multiply 13.9 by 14 and add 1lb it's 195.6
Does anyone know which one is right?
I really am a mess!

your "stone-lbs" are not the same as the US lbs, so you should do the 13.9 x 14.
Sorry babe!

Hi!

Please don't get discouraged!

I've been ana/mia most of my life, but right now I'm at my highest weight ever too! Thanks to injuries and serious emotional eating over the last year or so. I just looked in the mirror one day and said "what the #%&* has happened to me?!?" So, I'm on day ten of my battle of the bulge (heh) and have dropped 8lbs.

You can do this! We can all do this.

If you want to talk, feel free to PM me. If you want a buddy, I'm here for you...we're all here for you. If you like you can find me in my journal (Shrinking Me), and I'll check back here to see your progress...stay strong!

HUGS!

I ended up eating some blueberries as well as dinner, but at least I am full now. I don't think they can be too many calories-I've heard they are neg cals, but I don't think so. There are way too many neg cal lists that don't add up.
Thank-you for the support! I haven't binged yet!

fresh blueberries are not bad for you, and they are low in cal, 50 grams of blueberries is only 14 cal!
plus they have vitamins, loads of it!

Hi and welcome!

I thought I'd give you some advise to help you on your way. I hope I didn't misread your weight---I think you're being way, way too hard on yourself, both emotionally and physically. You can and will loose that weight, don't fret. But more importantly you really do need to take in more calories. You don't want to start out fasting/starving at a higher weight. As you loose, you can lower your calories, but for now, I'd suggest you start your calories at 800 to 1000 a day. That's still well below what any doctor would recommend, so you're going to loose fast AND you won't get into that feeling of despairation that's so easy to fall into.

It's really not very many calories but you'll feel so much better in mind and spirit. Trust me, just watch that scale drop! Oh, and use a tape measure, too---if nothing else, when the scale torments you too much because of water gains or the occassional binge, the tape measure can be a comfort.

Don't get worried about fruits like blueberries, by the way---the "wild" fruits/berries are usually the lowest in calories. Blueberries, raspberries, etc. It's fruits like oranges, bananas and avacados that we need to eat in moderation.

Up the protein, try for 30 grams a day, if you can. Eat lots of salads and veggies. Try to stay away from grains for the most part(especially wheat and corn--oats are better) and starchy tubers like potatoes. Be careful of the "naughty" fruits--moderation, treat them like dessert.

You can also make things like agar-agar, a gelatin-like desert, and flavor it with lime juice and artificial sweetner. It's zero calories! You can fill up on clear broths, too. There's all kinds of things you can eat and be low on cals and loose fast. I know you can do it Smile

We're here for you.

Hey, thanks for the support, I'm overwhelmed by the support! I lost 2lbs, and I am now 13st.8, or 193.6 lbs
I have to go to a lame-o barbecue today, but I am taking an avocado salad.
I am going to try the 2-4-6-8 plan. It'll keep my metabolism going, because apparently if you eat the same each day, it slows down.
Today will be 400, so I made up a plan. I just have to stick to it!
B-Hot choc-40cals
L-soup 85 cals
D-avocado salad 158 cals
Maybe some blueberries as well.
That should all fit into 400. I just have to resist the barbecue food!

Hey. Let me recommend some things to you. Go out to the supermarket. Buy broths, teas, coffee, fruits, veggies, and whatever else you can find that is a negative calorie food etc. Keep your fridge and pantry well stocked, that way if you have an urge to eat you wont feel bad if you do.

Remember to spice up the things you eat. I buy the Lipton soup envelopes like cream of tomato and pour loads of garlic hot sauce in it. Not only is the hot sauce tasty, but garlic is good for you, will satisfy your taste buds, the warm soup in your stomach will settle it if you have cravings, and its all under 80 cals if you buy the right kind.

Mustard is great, and so is ketchup. If you cook add cilantro, garlic, pepper and onion to everything. It will make food so much better if you're giving up things you normally like to eat.

If you go out to eat order the salad. Order it with a vinegar type dressing. If someone is going to annoy you because you are eating a salad, order something like baked or broiled salmon with veggies. At the end of the day you wont feel bad and its still good for you.

If you want to restric calories give yourself a set number of calories for the week. Example 500 per day=3500 for the week. That way if you end up eating more than you wanted one day, you can make it up the next. If at the end of the week you met your goal, you can reward yourself. (Usually I buy myself something I want like new undies at Vicky's or a pedicure or something)

Hope this helps.

If you DO neet to eat at the barbeque, find some corn or something. When they try to bring you other nasty stuff, say you have corn stuck in your teeth and excuse yourself. Dont come back for half hour. Maybe they will have forgotten by then Smile

Thanks for the support. I really don't deserve it, you know.
I was supposed to only eat 400 today, but ended up eating 800. If I find out I've gained tomorrow, I'm gonna be heartbroken. I wish I could control myself. My only consolation is that this barbecue is only an annual occasion.
Now I have a dilemma. What shall I do tomorrow? Should I do 400 again, properly this time, or should I forget about it and go onto 600?
This is probably a dumb question, but I have never done 2-4-6-8 before, and am kinda confuzzled. Confused
