Well, I am still 190 something. I have the eat clean diet books, but it is hard for me to stick to it. I got my period today and hoping I can force myself to work out. I am running on 600 calories (so far) for today and I don't know what to do with myself. Since I have my cycle I have to force myself to workout so I won't feel so bloated. have my St. Patty Day's goal for 154lbs at the MOST. I am just going to do whatever I need to do to win this battle. I just wish I had a better support unit.

Well tonight I had enough. I got on the scale and realized the weight has surged up 7lbs. I am not sure what I am doing wrong but drastic times call for drastic measures. I have elected to go on the Master Cleanse once again. The diet itself is 650 k/cal a day so I am going to have to make sure I take my vitamins. I am not sure how long I will be on the MC, but I know that after the MC I will go clean because from what I read about it, you push the reset button on your body's health. So for the next 16 days, I will detox. I expect to lose at least 20lbs and a dress size on this. To take things up a notch, I will be using the treadmill and stairmaster at the gym with a 30 min fat loss weight training routine. I suppose that will help with the amount of weight I loss in that time. I will also at a bellydance routine in the evening to get me back on track with the dancing. I can't believe my heart is still in it after 8 years. Well, I will keep this journal updated during that time.

God i hate periods too..Have a way of fucking up all your plans..
Its stange ur nt losing more..
But i do think ur pushing urslef too much trying to do too much at unce slow down make a realistic plan and they weight will move..

Hey Ashling.

Thanks for the response. I know it seems like I am doing alot but I feel like I need to take some kind of immediate action. I am thinking about how to go about the whole thing since I have trouble with stress. I realized after my niece and nephew pissed me off that I am going to have issues with sticking to the cleanse. I woke up late and the day was going so well. The scale read 193.5 so that was a 3lb loss for the day. Unfortunately, being pissed off made me eat around 7pm. That sucks! Almost done with the day and I blew it. So I must start again tomorrow at Day 1.

Morning Post: Okay I slipped up again yesterday, but I am down to 193 so far...I guess I have slipped up slightly. I am going to apply for a job downtown today and I am hoping that they hire me because it is too easy to sit at home and fall into temptation. So far I am happy I haven't left the house until now since that Smooth Moves tea is still working. It is good to get the crap out of me (no pun intended). After I print my resume, I am going to the gym. I might just do treadmill, but I will see after I get there.

Evening Post: I get on the scale today and it reads 190.5. I am happy for the noticable decrease, but I fear I over extended myself in the gym. The cleanse only provides 650 calories and I get an extra 10 from the liquid vitamins, but here is what I did:

Stationary cycling -409 cal
treadmill -286 cal
weights -210 cal
I feel okay but there is a weird pain in my eye and my teeth hurt (might be the flossing) on the right. So far day 1 is complete. Oh yeah I notice the smell of food is stronger; almost pungent if you will. I will go to the gym a little earlier tomorrow so I can get more time on the treadmill. At for the clothes, there is a bit more ease putting on the bottoms, but I wont get too excited about it right now. I know I can't quit because I paid all that damn money for the organic maple syrup.

Morning Post: I woke up late today so I probably won't go to the gym and just try and do the elliptical. My weight right now is 189lbs. I think the workout I did the other day made me sleep more this morning. I even went to bed around 2am last night. I even had to chew and spit something due to a weird urge to have something to chew. I can't describe it.

Evening Post: There is a surge in my weight: 193. I know why it happened. My body is responding to the weight training. I am going to have to put that to the side until I am done. Plus, it makes me feel like my body is fighting the cleanse. I am going for broke this time. What pisses me off is that I am still feeling burnt out from the weight training I did Monday. I did 35 minutes on the elliptical, which probably increased the muscle mass in my legs making my weight go up four pounds.

Hi Nishi,

I am so glad I started this journal so people could see the trouble I am having with my body. Of course the weight is shifting gears on me and I am at 194 again. WTF?
I did read an article about hyperthyroidism with the exception of 1 symptom I have all the others. It explains why the area around my neck has been feeling so funny. I am still doing the MC fast, but I will put the weight lifting on the back burner until I am done.

Then you should definately go and get it checked out by a doctor!!

Weight training would build muscle, and we all know muscle weighs more than fat!! Stick to cardio for a while. Running, walking, cycling. as long as you do something everyday.

This is the result I received on a about.com quiz titled "Is Your Thyroid Making You Fat?" I was afraid I had a thyroid problem when I did that master cleanse. I hate the idea of having such a problem, but I knew it was inevitable since my last cycle lasted 9 days . Surprised Well, I am not sure what to do and the only thought I have in my head is to workout and stop eating. Rolling Eyes I know that might be bad for my metabolism, but I am taking guggulbolic or metabolic enhancers to help with that 3x a day. I know this is drastic and might not be good for me, but I really don't care anymore because I have run out of clothes at 193. I am going to stop eating until my sister comes back (leaves tomorrow and comes back May 7th). I don't know what will happen and I don't care...I just want to lose this weight. Time to go now.....food shopping. Sad

May7th Goal: 180lbs
June1st Goal: 160lbs
July1st Goal: 140lbs
July 13th Goal: 137lbs.

So I wake up this morning and I am 193.5. I didn't eat any food whatsoever and took my supplements so I am on some sort of liquid diet. The tea is great for hunger pangs. After a food free day Very Happy , I weigh in at 192. I guess right now I am trying to hit the 180's. I can't believe I am saying that....gee....well so far so good.

So I am weak and I ate in the evening. I am 191.5 now. Well, at least I worked out for an hour today. I can try and do it again tomorrow and hope for the best.

Hello,

I am just going to say that I am trying hard to work the weight off, but I have plateaued at 191.5. I don't know what to say so I am going to have to switch to the Five-Bite-Diet. I am too scared to skip breakfast so I will add 5 bites for breakfast. At this point I will update you on my weight loss and hopefully have better news to report. As for the change, my sis return date has been changed to the 9th so my 180lbs goal is changed to Friday, not this Wednesday. So that gives me six days to get to that goal. Oh well, I guess it is back to the drawing board again. Rolling Eyes

Okay so the weight isn't moving and I am pretty sure with the workouts I am doing that this is evidence of some type of thyroid problem. I would prefer not to eat at all, but I am so tired all the time. I need some help and I'll be damned if I ever resort to weight loss surgery or liposuction. I don't want help. I want to do it on my own. I checked my weight tonight and I am 193. I am not going to eat anything until Saturday morning. I am curious as to how my body will react to such a thing since I haven't done that in months. I really wish I had my old journal Ingredients. I could actually see what I was eating and doing to keep the weight going down. I don't know...maybe I am just getting older and having trouble dealing with my body's changes. I noticed from the journal that my weight started rising after I turned 30 so maybe there is my answer. I need a stronger appetite suppressant because I am taking phentermine, but I can no longer feel the effects. The next time I write on here will be Saturday morning and hopefully I will be 189.0 I think at this point if I do anything I must be more adamant about burning it back off. Therefore, if I eat 500 calories at dinner, then I need to burn 500 calories that day. That is what I believe I was doing in the last journal.

I started the 5-bite-diet today. The doctor who is associated with this diet wants everyone to have a 18.5 BMI. The BMI with my height would put me at 101lbs. I suppose that is okay, but I am afraid that I wouldn't be able to look like a figure competitor at that weight. Figure competitors are my ideal beauty. Strong yet sexy, built yet look fat-free. It is what I consider a healthy balance. Plus their hair, skin, teeth, and nails always look so healthy. Rolling Eyes The perfect picture of health....Anyway if no one about this diet here are the basics:

It is the diet that pretends you are a post-surgery gastric bypass patient.
You can drink calorie-free liquids or water.
Breakfast: Nothing
Lunch: Five bites of anything you want. Not smaller bites, but your normal standard bites.
Dinner: Five bites of anything you want again.
