it really is so hard to be good around ppl - especially when goin out for dinner. i had a shitty weekend Sad stupid food - so fuckin annoying. i hate it with a passion! why cant i be good and not eat tons of bad shit. glad to hear that u have lost 1.5 lbs thats great news!

Well I've lost the other 1.5lbs and I'm back to my June starting weight of 125lbs! Smile That's progress, at least, and now I hope I can still shift a fair bit before the end of the month. I must say I'm quiute surprised to find myself back at 125 because this last week I haven't been exercising much and I haven't been restricting really - I've been eating 'normally' with my friends. I was back on the treadmill today tho (I burned 350kcals), and I asked one of the trainers at my gym how I could have lost weight when I've been eating crap like pizza, and not coming to the gym?! She said that quite often people exercise loads and their metabolism is boosted but that your body sometimes needs a rest before the metabolism burns off the weight. She said that you often see the results of a workout only when you take a couple of days off from exercising loads. I wonder if that's true...certainly explains why I often get pleasantly surprised by the scales when I expect myself to have gained... Razz Also, part of the weight I gained might have been water retention before my period.
Well, now I'm back on track and seriously up for losing more! Come on! Very Happy

yayyy for u Smile that is great news.. and i really appreciate u telling us what the trainer said, so maybe that could help some of us out here. and it also explains some things for us too haha

but either way another 1.5 lb loss is greatt - u are doin awesome!

Thanks nickytml! Yeah, I think I'm gonna workout every other day from now on rather than just 4 x a week (which has sometimes ended up with me going loads in several days and then not going at all for several days). Also that's not asking much so it doesn't seem too much to ask of myself, which means I'll more likely keep it up.
Aw man I am hungover. I had a few glasses of wine last night (alcohol is so calorific, but wine is a much better choice than beer at least), but because I hadn't eaten much it went straight to my head! Razz So I was really quite drunk on only a little drink. Still, I stayed up dancing until 6am this morning, so I definitely must have burned off some of the kcals from the wine doing that!
Now I feel like my head is stuffed with cotton wool...ugh...

Why aren't I making progress? Because, quite frankly, I'm not trying hard enough! I can't bloody expect to lose weight by magic! And yet I'm always thinking 'oh, no, I'm still not losing weight'. I go and eat chocolate and then I'm surprised when I haven't lost anything! Well duh! If I want to lose weight I have to really do it! It's not like I don't know how - I know what works for me, what worked in the past, so I just have to fucking DO it! Arrgh! I'm so annoyed at myself! Mad

awww hun - dont kick urself. jsut get back on track, we know what works - its just a matter of avoiding those damn unhealthy foods and getting exercise. u can do it hun i know u can

Thanks nickytml. I needed to give myself a kick to get back on track. I'm feeling a bit better today - went out dancing all night, pretty much running on empty, until 6am this morning. That's gotta have burned a few kcals. Also, today I have no appetite whatsoever after the heavy night, and I woke up just with my tummy feeling really empty and flat (I love that feeling Laughing. I'll probably have to eat a little something tho to sort myself out this morning, tho. Laughing

I've spent the last few days eating under 1000kcals per day (or less) and feeling quite slim and good, and I went to the gym yesterday. I really felt like I'd lost weight, but no, I'm still exactly the same weight. Mad It's so frustrating! Worse still, I reacted by eating a big lunch coz I was so pissed off I didn't care. Ugh.

Had a killer workout yesterday - burned 500+kcals at the gym. Very Happy But still no weight loss. Crying or Very sad And then I ate too much after going to the gym, which cancels out all the good work (although my metabolism would still have had a boost, so not a total waste of time I guess). Ugh.

Right - this plateau is a total nightmare. Apart from just meaning I don't lose weight, seeing no progress completely saps my motivation and willpower, so I end up binging, which only makes things worse. Drastic action is called for to get me past 125lbs! I am beginning a fruit and veg fast today for as long as possible. Because I live with my bf I probably won't manage to continue over the weekend when he's home all day, but during the week I don't see him coz he's at work and then in the evenings I can say I already ate (he knows I don't like to eat late after 6pm). So I should be able to last for 5 days at least, and then I'll decide what to do about the weekend.

good luck wit ur fruit and veg fast. i am sure u can do it - just got to stay in control. binging isnt goin to get u there, so u just got to be careful as to what u eat. come on here and post whenever u feel the urge to binge. if u are good all week i am 100% sure that u will see weight loss Smile
