I've had my eyebrow pierced now for roughly 6 years. I would change out the barbells every so often, clean them, ect... Last year I bought a new one, put it in, and shortly after, could not get it unscrewed for the life of me. Now, I've not given it much thought in the past year, occasionally tried to unscrew it, had others, no such luck.. I keep it cleaned the best I can, but I know it can't be good to leave one piece of jewelry in for that long... but I can't unscrew it. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm not like some other people who have had this problem where it was recently pierced and it got infected... If I were to take it to the piercer, could they unscrew it, because I don't think anything but the jaws of life are going to help me, and I mean that.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Yeah I had my eyebrow pierced a while back. What you need to do is get a hemostat clamp, (their like 3 or 4 $ at flea markets and 10 to 15 $ at medical supplies stores) Push the bar upwards and clamp on to the top of the bar (directly underneath the ball) and twist the ball off with your fingers.

It should work. :]

Hears a photo of the hemostat clamp.

Thanks a lot, I'm going to check on one of those, because I'm tired of this barbell, not to mention it really can't be good leaving one in there for over a year.Any suggestions on how to keep from the other end from sliding through my fingers? because what if it's the ball itself and it's stuck on there, I worry about maybe it's rusted on there or something gross like that... how could I get enough force to twist it off without hurting my fingers, and without it just slipping through my fingers.

I think you should go to a piercing parlour.

Did you get it out?
